合肥师范学院坐落于安徽省省会合肥市。学校前身是安徽教育学院，创建于1955年，2007年改建为省属全日制普通本科院校。学校是硕士学位授予单位，全国首批“国培计划”示范性培训项目实施单位、全国首批“卓越教师培养计划”试点单位，安徽省首批“地方应用型高水平大学”建设高校，安徽省“三全育人”综合改革试点高校。
学校现有锦绣、滨湖、三孝口三个校区，校园面积1295亩，在职教工1200余人，其中正高139人、副高324人；现有省级以上人才37人次，其中国家百千万工程人才1人、享受国务院政府特殊津贴1人。学校现设14个二级学院，硕士专业学位授权点3个，招生专业领域17个，本科专业58个。现有全日制本科生、研究生、国际生20000余人；国家和省级一流专业23个、国家一流课程3门、省级一流课程226门、虚拟仿真实验教学实验项目9项；国家和省级卓越人才培养计划项目29个、省级人才培养创新实验区2个、省级专业综合改革试点项目10个、省级示范实验（习）实训中心8个、省级校企合作实践教育基地38个、省级一流本科人才示范引领基地4个。近年来获国家级教学成果奖二等奖5项，省级教学成果奖65项，其中特等奖、一等奖22项。
学校与爱尔兰、美国、英国、德国、泰国、马来西亚、西班牙等国家以及台湾地区的10余所高校建立交流合作关系；目前招收培养的国际留学生涵盖研究生、本科生和语言生。学校秉承“自强不息，追求卓越”的优良传统，全面建成特色鲜明的地方应用型高水平大学。（2024年10月更新）
Hefei Normal University (HFNU) is located in Hefei, the capital city of Anhui Province. Its predecessor was Anhui Institute of Education, which was founded in 1955 and was restructured into a provincial full-time regular undergraduate institution in 2007. The university is an institution authorized to confer master's degrees, one of the first batch of implementation units for the exemplary training projects of the "National Training Program" in China, one of the first batch of pilot units for the "Outstanding Teacher Training Program", one of the first batch of universities in Anhui Province for the construction of "local application-oriented high-level universities", and a pilot university for the comprehensive reform of "Three-Whole Education" in Anhui Province.
HFNU currently has three campuses, covering an area of 86.33 hectares. There are more than 1,200 faculty and staff on the job, among whom 139 are professors and 324 are associate professors. Currently, there are 37 talents at or above the provincial level, including 1 talent selected for the National Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talents Project and 1 person enjoying special government allowances from the State Council. The university now has 14 colleges, 3 authorized master's degree programs in professional fields, 17 enrollment areas for professional degrees, and 58 undergraduate majors. At present, there are more than 20,000 full-time undergraduate students, postgraduate students and international students. There are 23 national and provincial first-class majors, 3 national first-class courses, 226 provincial first-class courses, and 9 virtual simulation experiment teaching projects. There are 29 national and provincial outstanding talent cultivation plan projects, 2 provincial talent cultivation innovation experimental areas, 10 provincial comprehensive reform pilot projects for majors, 8 provincial demonstration experiment (training) centers, 38 provincial school-enterprise cooperation practical education bases, and 4 provincial first-class undergraduate talent demonstration and leading bases. In recent years, it has won 5 second prizes of the National Teaching Achievement Awards and 65 provincial teaching achievement awards, among which 22 are special prizes and first prizes.
HFNU has established exchange and cooperation relations with more than 10 universities in countries such as Ireland, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Thailand, Malaysia, Spain and the Taiwan region of China. Currently, the international students recruited and trained by the university cover postgraduate students, undergraduate students and language students. Adhering to the fine tradition of "constantly striving for self-improvement and the pursuit of excellence", HFNU aims to fully build itself into a local application-oriented high-level university with distinctive features.
